Language learning websites

I am going to introduce 3 websites of language learning.
The first is “My Happy Planet”. It includes the language exchange from many other foreign countries. There have many persons from other countries join this website to help other who want to learn their native language, and they also search the friends who are the native speakers of the language they want to acquire. Beside the social interaction, you also can find out many language lessons which are made by the volunteers in this website. Some of them teach idioms, some of them teach vocabularies, and others introduce the native way of speaking with others. I think it’s a useful website to learn languages by interacting, and also acquire many language skills or knowledge.

The second one is “English Baby”. It provides many sources for learners, like language lessons, having chat with foreigners. Learners can choose English lessons, and there provide kinds of information about English. For example, this website provides some famous movies introductions. It has audios to let learners practice listening, and do some quizzes after listening. Learners can check the information, and learn vocabularies or grammars form the reading process. If learners do not understand the meaning of some special words or sentences, it also provides explanations for them. I think this website is wonderful, because it uses many ways to attract learners’ attentions, and provide many interesting sources for them.

The last one is “Edu Fire”. It’s a website which includes many online tutors to help students to learn the target language. Although some of them need to pay, but there still have some free classes for learners. This website’s specialty is the online video. Learners can join a free class, and accept their course directly. Learners can improve their English skills by interacting with tutors, and also learn much useful knowledge about language. For example, learners can search the key word “TOEIC”, then there will have many options of courses to choose. I think this website use the specific way of video to give learners a unique way of learning.

Video of phonics and the reflection

I choose this video for the reason of curiosity, because I think I will be curious about this video if I am child. The animation in this video is colorful and interesting, and it also has the specialty of game. Children can try to guess the answer when they watch the video, and the animation of monkey will tell them the right answer. It’s interesting to know this monkey also make mistakes like other normal kids, and I think this specialty will make children become easier to accept this learning environment, because the monkey’s behavior just like what they do usually.
This video shows the specialty of game, because the monkey’s lively behavior and the clock beneath the screen, I think children can feel the atmosphere like game. The phonics in this video is also correct and easy to understand. It will be better if this video shows the correct sound of the word ‘dog’ they taught.

The reflection of what I learn from the two blog sites that Chung-Kai made

I think the two blog sites that Chung-Kai made is helpful to my learning, because the two blogs tell me about many learning tools that I don’t know before. For example, I heard the Facebook and MySpace before, but I had not tried to understand their functions. After the introduction from Chung-Kai, I think Chung-Kai makes me become interested with them. I not only want to find ways to improve my own learning, I also want to use Internet as a tool to help others to solve their problems.

The Internet helps me a lot to my learning, I can search much useful information from Internet, and I even can get the knowledge from websites by myself. Chung-Kai not only tells me information, the two blogs also tell me how to help my own learning on the Internet. If I have chances, I will recommend others to visit Chung-Kai’s blog, because they will get many useful learning tools from it.

Web2.0

Web2.0是一個讓參與者透過網路平台來交流的名詞，使用者享受其他參與者所提供的服務，並且在接收之後再與他人分享，或者自己在再新創造一個分享給他人，在這樣的情況下，Web2.0所重視的是分享、互動、以及關係，它讓網頁不再像過去一樣，只能由單方面輸出或者掌控，而是讓使用者自己也能夠試著去分享，例如現在極為普遍的部落格，它讓使用者透過網頁與他人分享心情、興趣、甚至是各式各樣的資訊；在這個劃時代的轉變當中，Web2.0被廣泛的應用在商業、新聞、以及多樣的訊息上，它讓網頁不再只是個「名詞」，而是能夠讓使用者透過它來與其它的參與者緊緊相連的「動詞」。
也因為Web2.0，人們資訊的流通以及訊息的更新也變得更加的快速了；我們可以在Youtube上搜尋到許多影片，甚至是前幾天才剛播完的連續劇，或者上某位科技達人的部落格瀏覽最新型相機的評價，或者我們可以隨時上WIKI百科尋找公課需要的相關資料，又或者隨時使用P2P下載各式各樣的音樂或者檔案，我相信Web2.0的確為我們過去那種單調又緩慢的網路進行了一大改革。
雖然Web2.0為我們帶來了許多的方便，也讓我們能夠盡情的享受網路帶來的資源，但是過多的資訊流通卻也造成了許多的問題，使用者們為了自己的方便，因而竊取他人的資料以便自己利用，或者有不肖之士利用網路來進行非法事業甚至盜取他人的機密，我想這都是我們在享受過Web2.0所帶來的方便之後，應該好好去思考的事情，如何去防止又或者如何讓自己避免成為盜用別人智慧的使用者。

I live in Yunlin County, and it’s a place full of friendliness.
My family members are my parents, sister, and brother, and our family pets are dog and scorpion.
My hobbies are reading many kinds of book, watching movie and TV show, and listening music.
I study the English teaching in our department, and I hope I can teach our Chinese culture to foreigners in the future.
I wish I can learn many useful applications from this class, because I want to integrate these useful methods into my teaching.
